The Aphex Pro Trousers are our toughest shell trousers designed for extreme conditions. They are made with our completely water- and windproof membrane, Hypershell® Pro, and features excellent ventilation and a durable shell fabric. All trims and details are chosen to withstand the roughest weather conditions, all zippers are YKK® Vislon/Aquaguard, and exposed areas are reinforced. The trousers are equipped with zippered thigh ventilation and Recco® reflectors for searchability in emergencies. The lower legs are expandable with zippers for an optimal fit over ski- or walking boots, and the waist is adjustable with Velcro. The Aphex Pro are a pair of incredibly versatile shell trousers; wear them for expeditions all year round or as a technical alpine ski shell during winter.

I’m normally a medium/large in most brands but an XL in RR gear
Once you know this though there isn’t a problem and the items are well made

Great quality
These feel very well made and I like the pockets. They're pretty big in the waist but I need the room in the thighs so didn't want to return them in case the XLs are too tight. I've just put a belt on them so they're ok. A fully-elasticated waist with velcro adjustment would be better though. I could have done with the legs being an inch or two longer but I'm mostly wearing them with boots so that's ok too.

Ultimate trousers with weather protection and comfort - Very Happy
In general, great trousers - i used them in the garden during 3 week heavy rain and storm that we had in the UK in Sept-Oct 2023. Trousers are very well ventilated and absolutely waterproof.
Lava colour is probably not the best - as small stains are visible immediately.
As soon as you sit down on the wood(in the rain) your trousers bottom gets muddy very easily - it is still waterproof and comfy - i am wondering if the special bottom outer pad (easy to clean) would be a good design addition

Just been on a 5 day hike wearing these.
Day 1 torrential rain - trousers bone dry :-)
Day 2 showers - not a problem
Day 3 sunny and warm - thank goodness for the leg vents :-)
Day 4 showers - not a problem
Day 5 showers and high gusts of wind - definitely windproof :-)
